Indian student walks 25 km to save Pakistani girl from bombing, humanity seen in Ukraine war

The story of humanity is also coming to the fore in the midst of war. When the situation worsened in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv, an Indian student, while helping a Pakistani girl, saved her by playing on her life and brought her safely to the Pakistani embassy.

When the situation in Kyiv worsened in the war that started between Russia-Ukraine, Ankit, an Indian student of Ukrainian language, had to take shelter in a bunker. There were 80 people in that bunker in which all were Pakistanis, except him. When he decided to leave Indian student , a Pakistani girl also agreed to walk with him, and then in the midst of the bombing in the war, both of them reached the railway station by walking 25 km, then Romania border from there.

According to the media report, when an Indian student boy saved the life of a Pakistani girl in this way, the Pakistani embassy praised Ankit and wrote that an Indian boy Ankit brought our daughter to us and became our child. Thank you very much. This is the time for the people of both the countries not to pull each other’s legs, but to show love and support. Our children are more important than our hatred.

Bold step taken if the situation in Kyiv deteriorated

Actually, Ankit is a Indian student of Ukrainian language at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. When the situation in Kyiv worsened, on the night of 25 February, a blast took place three km away from the institute. After that about 80 students were sent to the bunker in which Ankit was the only Indian.

Indian student Ankit talked to his family on the phone and expressing confidence, they asked to bring the daughter safely. On 28 February, both set out on foot for Kyiv’s Bugjala railway station. Had not eaten anything for two days.

Maria was unable to walk, so Ankit took her luggage and reached the station by walking 5 km, avoiding firing. There was a lot of crowd there. Somehow boarded the train amidst the scuffle in the evening. After an hour’s journey, there was a tremendous explosion on the side of the track and firing started. A bullet would have gone through the window and came out over his head. Everyone in the train lay down holding their breath. Finally reached Ternopil station on March 1. There Maria got in touch with the officials of the Pakistani embassy. The officials kept them in the hostel of Ternopil Medical University and arranged for them coffee, bread, soup.

Ankit told that both of them were sent by the Pakistan Embassy by bus from Ternopil to Romania border at their own expense. The bus driver left 15-20 km before. From there I had to go till the border on foot. There were thousands of people when they reached the border. There the temperature is minus. The body is aching badly due to fever. Local people are helping the students.
